I’m determined to find my dream girl, says student

A WINCHESTER student is so convinced his dream girl is not just a figment of his imagination, that he has set out on a bizarre quest to find her.

Adam Pacitti says he dreamt about her and when he woke up in the middle of the night, he quickly grabbed a pencil and paper to sketch her image so he wouldn’t forget her.

He is now determined to find if the woman exists, saying he is knocked out by how attractive she is.

He says he is keen to produce a more hi-tech photo-fit of his Miss Right, to help in his mission.

Mr Pacitti spent much of this summer on the Isle of Wight, where he grew up, but said he did not find her there.

The 20-year-old, who now lives in Ebden Road, Winnall, and studies English at the University of Winchester, is hoping for better luck on the mainland.

With some friends, he has already distributed thousands of leaflets in London and Portsmouth, which cost £300 to produce.

He has also launched a website — www.thegirlofmydreams.co.uk — where visitors can flag up any possible sightings.

Six weeks have now passed since he had the dream, and he said his website is now attracting thousands of hits.

He said people were logging on from America, Australia and South Korea to help in the search.

He said a few pictures had been e-mailed to him of women that came close to the description, but were not a perfect match.

He says she is white, has medium-length brown hair similar in style to pop star Kate Nash, and might wear black-rimmed glasses.

Mr Pacitti said: “I don’t want to be too precise in describing her, but when I see her I’ll know.

“One thing I do remember from my dream is that she is shorter than me, but given that I’m 6ft 4in tall, that’s not saying much.

“I can see myself looking for her for many years until I find her.

“If I do find her, I think the first thing I’ll say is ‘will you marry me’, and afterwards, I think I’ll have to explain all the background very quickly!”
